Criticism of the Chief Guardian Committee in the Umeå Region for the incorrect handling of an appeal; also statements on re-examinations at committee meetings
In a case, the Chief Guardian Committee rejected an application from the representative on a particular matter. After the representative appealed the decision, the Committee changed the rejection decision. The application was later rejected at a committee meeting.
However, the decision to change the rejection decision was not documented in any way and nor was the appeal sent to the higher court. For this, the Chief Guardian Committee is criticised.
In the decision, the Parliamentary Ombudsman makes further general statements about the Committee’s management of the appeal, including in relation to the re-examination at the committee meeting.
